| brand spotlight: the body shop

The Body Shop is a brand which has slowly crept into my much-loved skincare rotation. I am big, big BIG on my skincare as anyone close to me will know ( I'm so good at boring people to tears with my skincare routine) which only proves that the Body Shop is a real contender in quality skincare.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Toner
Although many do not see the use in toning in their routine, my skin loves a good toner! The tea tree in this is so soothing, whilst the formula is amazing at getting out the last bits of grime off my skin after cleansing. I have slight rosacea on my cheeks (no blusher needed for me, ever), and this does a great job of cooling down my skin before bed and leaving a more balanced complexion in the mornings. For 5 pounds, this has lasted me for ages, so it's clearly good value for money.

Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion
As you might guess, I'm a big fan of the Body Shop's Tea Tree range. This is a more recent purchase, however, this has dramatically improved my skin's appearance over recent weeks. Like many students, exam period is rapidly approaching for me, which normally equals more stress, less sleep, resulting in unhappy skin. It's amazing at reducing the appearance of spots, and more blemish prone areas of my face. When used with the aforementioned toner, I always wake up with glowing and even skin! The formula itself feels light and sinks in very quickly, not as heavy as usual night creams but does as just as good a job.

Aloe Soothing Gel
I recently bought this to combat skin flare ups after I play badminton. If I've worked hard, my face ends up very hot and red (not attractive). Straight after playing, I lightly apply this to affected areas (most of my face) and wait for the redness to cool down. I've noticed it helps to speed up the process a little, and has a nice moisturising effect too. Ideal for hot sweaty summer days!

Camomile Gentle Eye Make Up Remover
I've already repurchased this recently, and despite the fact I use this almost everyday to remove my makeup, my first bottle has lasted me at least 8 or 9 months! I prefer this even to micellar water for removing everything, it's so incredibly gentle. This may be the fact that it's intended for eye make up, but I just use it all over. It's also amazing for correcting those annoying eyeliner/mascara blunders without moving and smudging the rest of your make up around your face. It feels super refreshing, light and does an incredible job!

  1. I love The Body Shop! The camomile eye make up remover is one of my fave products alongside their cleansing oil which is fab for taking all your make up off :) Never tried the tea tree range but it sounds really good!
