Life Update - Back to University

It's not often that life gets in the way to such an extent that I just can't blog. My personal life took a bad hit and I haven't really been able to put into words how I've felt these last two weeks, but everything to do with the blog, my Twitter and Instagram in particular have just fallen to the wayside.

It's frustrating because I've wanted to sit down and get back on track so many times and just... nothing. My brain is a pile of jumbled-up mush which can't articulate anything of value. I've been feeling flat, tired and bewildered and the only thing keeping me going is routine.

Thankfully, my uni classes started again this week so I've had less time to dwell and mope about, and it's been so nice to see friends around on campus. Being back at uni feels very strange after a year away, almost like so much should have changed and everything is so similar. It's comforting in a way. I have missed Avenue Campus a lot, basically the campus for humanities at Southampton. It's small enough that you're constantly bumping into people you know, like a little community.

It's been made clear that final year is going to be challenging to say the least. Part of me is very nervous about it all and the other half is quite excited to be getting stuck in again with all my courses. I'm taking two essay modules which are perfect for my interests and topics for writing about, which should nicely balance out all the languages work.

I moved to Southampton quite early in September, as I was doing a two week placement for a lovely PR company, having completed another back in August. It was extremely weird living in an empty house with just one other person for around three weeks, and now everyone's moved in it feels much busier!

I'm not completely sure on where this post was going, but it feels like the right kickstart to help get back into writing on the blog again. It was so strange having nothing to say. My head was completely blank and void of any ideas. I even missed out on some really cool blogging events because I just wasn't up to leaving the house.

I feel better this week and I'm looking forward to getting back into the blogging routine again. Bear with me all I'll be springing back into action again next week!

Thanks for reading!
