Festival Place in Basingstoke has been busy preparing the
fantastic shopping centre for the even busier festive period hitting us within
a matter of weeks. They’ve even changed the name temporarily for the occasion
to “Festive Place” for the first time since its opening!
Coming up on the 13th November (it’s a Friday but
don’t let that put you off!) is their annual Christmas light switch-on. Special
guests at the event will include Mark Little (Neighbour’s Joe Mangel, who’s
currently the star of this year’s pantomime at The Anvil), The Military Wives
Choir, the Jersey Boys tribute act, Walk Like A Man and of course, Santa in his grotto! There’ll
be plenty of entertainment to keep all the cute couples and even cuter families
feeling cosy and festive. What’s more, there’ll be a beautiful fireworks
display to round off the evening.
Later on in the month, the festive grotto will be host to a
fantastic fundraiser for the Ark Cancer Charity. With just a small donation
customers can personalise their own festive tags, which can be hung up on your
Christmas tree to share with your loved ones. From the baby’s first Christmas, to
the students returning home for two weeks to marriage proposals, anything goes!
The most important thing is to share a message with meaning and warmth. You can
also post pictures of the tag with the hashtag #festiveplace if your loved ones
can’t be with you this Christmas!
While of course presents are never the most important part
of Christmas, sharing your photo will automatically enter you into a fantastic
competition where many big brand prizes will up for grabs including –
IPhone 6s
Nutribullet from Debenhams
Pandora bracelet
Marc Jacobs, Decadence, Perfume, 30ml
Hugo Boss, Boss the Scent aftershave, 50ml
Festival Place £200 gift card
Build a bear reindeer
Hotel Chocolat Chocolates
What’s more, the shopping centre is making it ten times
easier to get your Christmas shopping done! There’s nothing more frustrating
than not knowing where to buy that last minute gift, or even essentials like
wrapping paper, and dashing around frantically like a headless chicken in a
rush against time. The Festive Service Pop-up Christmas Job are here to save
the day, with experts on hand to help with your festive-related needs! And to round it all off, you’ll be able to
park for only £1 after 5pm through to 6am, what more can you ask for!
Get yourself down to “Festive Place” for some festive fun
and to make some meaningful memories with the ones you love this special
season.
