Southampton Common is the biggest park in the city centre, and conveniently only a 10 minute walk away from my house. Today the weather was absolutely gorgeous so I decided to go for a little walk around before a class on campus. I recently found an old camera and I thought I would give it another go since I haven't used it for around 5 years! While I'm not completely happy with the results, some of the pictures I think came out really well.

Every time I decide to talk a walk round the Common I wonder why I don't come more often, since it's so close to where I live. On beautiful sunny days like today, all the paths become scattered with sunlight which contrast with the dark shade that the forest provides. It's extremely common to see all types of people walking around, from runners to families to lone walkers simply taking a stroll. I have been inspired to take a run round once in a while (it's never happened), however emphasis on the INSPIRED as in I don't do running. It's the perfect place to clear your head, take in nature at its finest and detach from the constant stream of traffic that is Southampton.

Thanks for reading!
