Hey beauties. Recently I've been on a series of dates with a lovely guy I've been getting to know, so I thought I would show you my choice of make up on our day dates. I prefer low maintenance make up during the day, so that I look as natural as possible whilst subtly highlighting my best features.

I start off with L'Oréal Studio Secrets Anti-Redness Primer (phew) to create an even-toned and glowy base, and after letting that sink in for a few minutes, I apply Seventeen Phwoarr Paint in Fair to brighten up my dark circles. I don't like to wear this if I plan to wear eye liner along the lid, as I find during the day this concealer impedes its staying power during the day. Next I apply Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Foundation in Shade 72 with my fingers. I have confessed my love for Bourjois foundations countless times on my blog, and this offering is the less heavy duty option which I prefer to wear during the day because it's a lighter coverage to Healthy Mix. This creates a slightly dewy base but never slides off, even on hot days. Once I've blended it in with a sponge, and let my foundation settle, I dust Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Shade 001 all over my face which helps to keep everything matte and fresh looking all day.

For my eyes, I prefer not to use heavy liquid eye liner during the day because I feel it looks a little overdone for a day date. So I start with Natural Collection Waterguard Mascara in Black as a base, which does a great job of lengthening my short stumpy lashes without adding too much drama. This mascara is an absolute staple in my make up bag, as it's so affordable, so very waterproof and not smudgy at all! Next I apply my favourite mascara ever, which I'm sure you're very tired of hearing about, Seventeen Doll'd Up Mascara in Black to create natural looking and curled lashes which never drop during the day. My finishing touch is Ghost Moonlight, a feminine but not too overpowering scent to make me feel girly and pretty.

And here is the end result;
